Just received an ET1?
Don't miss the deadline, and don't respond before you understand exactly what's being claimed. We'll assess the claim, tell you honestly where you stand, and set out what a defence would cost — before you commit to anything.

The same tribunal experience, without the law-firm overhead.
A fraction of the cost
Solicitor-led defence of a straightforward claim typically runs £3,000–£8,000, with hearing days often exceeding £1,500. Kelvin's staged fees are usually a fraction of that.
Representation is permitted
The Employment Tribunal's own procedure rules allow parties to be represented by the person of their choice, including paid consultants — this isn't a workaround, it's how the system is built.
Honest, not just cheaper
If your case is weak, you'll hear it from us early. We're not incentivised to run up hours — every stage is a fixed fee agreed in advance.
When you contact Kelvin, you speak to your Consultant — not a call centre.
Kelvin was founded on several years' experience in the Scottish Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal, across the full range of matters within the tribunals' jurisdiction — from unfair dismissal and discrimination claims to wages, redundancy and working-time disputes.
No juniors reading from a script, no case handed to whoever picks up. The person who assesses your problem is the person who stands beside you if it ever reaches a hearing.
Ongoing HR and employment-law support, when you need it.
Most Scottish SMEs don't have an HR department — but they still face the same disciplinaries, grievances and absence problems as a company fifty times their size.
Hotels, restaurants, bars and cafés
No-shows, holiday pay on variable hours, seasonal contracts, and the disciplinary that can't wait until Monday.
Bars, clubs and venues

Care homes and home-care services
Safer-recruitment checks, sleep-in shifts, disciplinary matters that overlap with regulators, and absence management under real staffing pressure.
Construction and trades companies
Site-based staff, safety-related dismissals, subcontractor questions, and redundancies when a contract ends.
Shops and retail groups
Till discrepancies and investigations, conduct issues, flexible-working requests and restructures done fairly and lawfully.
Businesses without an HR department
A senior HR and employment-law function on demand, without the cost of hiring one.
